Those Lucky Japanese...
Sakurai's latest Post of the Day on Miiverse might have been a shocker if you hadn't been following your Super Smash Bros. news on September 9th. About six hours before Sakurai's PotD, the first stories were breaking of Japan having a demo for the upcoming game.
The Demo contains several of the menu screens Mr. Sakurai has been recently revealing in his updates, with five brawlers being available to battle with, but the starting roster is rather large. According to Sakurai, there is only one stage available to battle on, Battlefield. The Fabulous Five Nintendo All-Stars available to try out in this demo are:
Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager, and Capcom's own Megaman.
On another note, Nintendo is having a Treehouse Stream for eight hours on Twitch, perhaps the Big N will announce the Demo going worldwide on Friday? While it might be wishful thinking, this is Nintendo, they are known for carving their own path, and it wouldn't be surprising if they did release the demo then. Lets just hope Nintendo learned its lesson with tying servers together after the Pokebank disaster that happened last holiday season.
Are you eagerly awaiting the demo to hit your regional eShop shelves? Already bought a non refundable ticket to Japan? Let us know in the comments below.
