Fans of the critically acclaimed Zelda series will be delighted to discover a new Legend of Zelda game is in the works for Wii U. While it's nowhere close to being complete, Eiji Aonuma shared some insight on the mindset the game was being created with. Essentially, like A Link Between Worlds for the Nintendo 3DS, The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will be created with an open-world approach. You'll be able to enter areas from nearly any direction, and this will make puzzles a bit more interesting in dungeons. The overworld is also not only huge OR connected but huge AND connected. This was most of the information given during Aonuma's spiel on the next Zelda, but you can watch the whole video down below.

I believe this is an excellent approach to Zelda, so long as the overworld is not too overwhelming or confusing to enjoy.
Yeah.
I would've written more but the thing on Zelda was more of a teaser than a trailer :/

I just realized... HOW WILL I EVER CUT ALL OF THE TALL GRASS?! Shocked
I really like that this new Zelda will be open world. That should enhance the feeling of exploration and adventure. I also think that the artstyle the game seems to be adopting is great. It reminds me of a combination of Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess.
If you added Wind Waker to those inspirations, Ideal, I'd be right with you Very Happy
