A work of art
Ah, Comic Workshop, a tool for artists that promises to leave you with some fun drawing experience. Now, some info about the game. It released on the 3DS eShop on July 17th, 2014 in the US. It is also $7.99 in US Dollars. It requires 941 Blocks on your 3DS SD Card to download. But the main question is, is Comic Workshop worth the $7.99? Well, if you want to know, keep reading.
Comic Workshop's drawing tutorials makes it easy to use. However, it's much more advanced than normal drawing game apps on the eShop or DSiWare. It is still great for beginners, however, as it makes great use of the tools. It even has two modes for creating comics, Storyboard and Clean Copies. But the main thing about Comic Workshop, is that it allows you to create whatever type of comic you like, without limits. Whatever it may be, a manga about an RPG, or superhero comic or even a manga x comic type of deal, you can create it. You are the artist.
Now, controls on the game are quite simple. You use the touch screen to get around most of the game, and it especially plays
an important role when drawing. The top screen is also useful to view your pieces of art. As for length, tutorials last about 30 Minutes to an hour at most. However, creating your comics can be pretty much done at any time. If you don't count the tutorials as apart of the game, then it basically lasts forever.
ConclusionComic Workshop is a work of art. Like any game, it's not a game that everyone would enjoy, but even then, it's still worth consideration if you are a big artist and like to create your own comics or manga. Not a bad game, not at all. It is a wonderful tool for aspiring artists, but those who aren't artists might not consider the purchase as much due to the price.
