The Book Thread

I don't know how many of you read a lot, but I try to read when I can; it's one of my favorite pastimes. This thread is to just talk about whatever you've been reading, ask for recommendations on what to read, etc.

Right now I'm reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I just started it, but it's been really good so far. Hopefully I can enjoy it to its fullest; I'm reading it as a summer assignment for a class I'm taking next year.

I am currently finishing the Alex Rider series. I finished Scorpia Rising years ago, but I just recently found out another book was written from the perspective of a secondary character.

Reading Alex Rider Russian Roulette: The Story of An Assassin.

I haven't read a lot of books lately, but in the past year I'd say that 1984 was a good read, as was Lord of the Flies.
