I wouldn't say It's just a normal demo, unlike most demos It's not just a small part of the full game. You can go on little adventures with Steve. challenging trainers, searching for Pokémon that kind of stuff.

Yes that's true, it is very different from other demo's but its not like you get to do a whole lot of things. It really is just an impression of what the game has to offer. I don't say its not fun though, I enjoyed it.

So the Japanese Pokemon team released an Anime style commercial for the upcoming games, and its pretty fun to watch (minus the "perfect American" beginning). Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eju1zieC5rM

Agreed, I kinda wish they'd do in game cut scenes like that.

I beat the game and even got past the Delta Episode, but I just reset my game, haven't gotten the first badge yet but I have put together a not bad team if I do say so myself.

I've got about 30 more Pokemon to catch until I'm done with the Hoenn Pokedex... anyone have a Jirachi they can used for a trade, trade back thing so I can get it's entry?
On that note, I completed the Delta Episode a few days ago... and it was beautiful. ;______; I can't wait until I get Omega Ruby next month so I can replay <33
I've just finished "helping" Wally catch a Ralts... and then caught one of my own~ :3 The nostalgia is so overwhelming~
Yeah, indeed. I started since yesterday, but have 0 badges yet. A female Ralts is always a must have in my team. So I caught one too.
Oh yeah, didn't it just come out in Europe? Maybe I won't be the only one online trying to beat it still in a few days.
Yeah, It came out on november 28, but customers who pre-ordered it at the gameshop in The Netherlands could get it one day earlier, I was one of them. But so far I'm really enjoying the game.

Debating wether or not to breed a shiny Ponyta to continue on in the story, since I randomly caught one in the original. I might just use a normal one.

Did you actually find one, or was this just the distributed one? If you found it that's an incredible coincidence!

Mega Salamence was banned from OU by Smogon.
There goes one mega I was wanting to use. :'( Eh, I can still use him on Battle Spot, it won't matter. That is, if I even bother with Bagon, since it takes forever to obtain.
So anyways, I came up with a Pokemon challonge. It's only for X and Y and ORAS at this point (Unless you have a friend you can trade with in earlier games, then feel free to do this in any game) since ORAS and X and Y are the only Pokemon games that can currently connect with Wi-Fi. Here are the rules, it's basically similar to a nuzlocke. I like to call it the Tradelocke Challenge.
1.) First off, you can only catch the first Pokemon in any area. Feel free to name it, but if you don't want to you don't have to. If you fail to catch it, too bad - you have to wait until the next area to catch something.
2.) You must trade any Pokemon you find to someone else. If you don't know anyone else on the internet or irl that is willing to trade, use Wonder Trade.
3.) Any Pokemon that faint are considered dead and must be released or permanently boxed
4.) Normally, if your entire party blacked out, it'd be considered a Game Over - fortunately, in this Nuzlocke spinoff, you are given three lives. If you use up all your lives, it is considered a game over. -If you think you got an unfair loss, you may feel free to call that a BS loss. However, you can't call BS for everything. If a Gyarados got three critical hits and killed your Luxray, as well as inflicted it with a status and outsped it, you may feel free to call BS. If a Venusaur used a Grass Move on your Quagsire and OHKO'd it, tough luck. Can't call BS on that.
5.) You can use In-Game Trades as it is a form of trading. Also, you can catch the Pokemon required to activate the In-Game Trade, even if it's not the first Pokemon in any area.
6.) Gift Pokemon or Interactable Pokemon do not count as a normal encounter. That means feel free to catch Snorlax if you want, but you must trade it afterwards. Also, feel free to grab that gift Lucario, but you must trade it afterwards.
7.) No voluntarily resetting and reloading the game when things go wrong. It would render all the other rules pointless.
8.) Use of the EXP Share is prohibited. That makes it a bit bigger of a challenge, don't ya think?
9.) HM Slaves ARE allowed, and you may catch them even if they aren't the first encounter. However, once you're done with them, they must go back into the PC.
10.) Shinies are allowed, regardless of first encounter. They are also immune to all rules in this challenge.
How's that?
